Technical documents

Technical Documents in Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Urdu and Punjabi

Your product reaches Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Persian Gulf. Its manual should too.

Why it matters

A manual nobody can read is a support call waiting to happen

A machine sold without instructions in the user's language leads to mistakes, complaints and safety risks. We translate the documents your Customers and technicians actually read - accurately, in the right script and ready to print.

Manufacturers, exporters and engineering firms send us manuals, safety sheets, catalogues and software in English, Italian, German or French. We return them in Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Urdu or Punjabi, with the same layout as the original.

FAQ

Questions about technical documents

Which script do you use for Urdu and Punjabi?

Urdu is written in Nastaliq, the script readers expect. Punjabi is written in Shahmukhi, the right-to-left script used in Pakistan. For Arabic and Dari technical texts we usually choose Naskh, which stays clear in tables and small sizes.

Can you work from my InDesign files?

Yes. Send us the InDesign, Illustrator or Word files and we deliver the translated document in the same format, mirrored for right-to-left reading and ready to print.

How do you handle technical terms with no local equivalent?

We agree a solution with you before translation: an established local term, a short explanation, or the English term in brackets. The choice goes into your terminology base, so it stays the same in every document.

Is revision included?

Every translation is checked by the translator before delivery. Revision by a second linguist is available on request, for documents where an extra check is worth it.

How fast can you deliver?

Short documents usually in 1 to 3 working days. For long manuals we agree a schedule with you, and with hybrid translation we can shorten it for large volumes.
